My deepest wishes go out to you Shirley, Don and Lisa (and to the rest of your family) for the loss of your son David, whose passing I just learned about more than four years later while surfing the internet. Uncharacteristically, I'm at a loss for words. It's been a very long time since we got together, and I hope you're well. (I'm in a nursing home in McMinnville, Oregon.) What can we say that hasn't already been said. Dave was our best friend, always there when you needed him. Easy to laugh with, loved to argue about Landmark with you. I still choose Chocolate Dave. We had enormous amounts of fun together, whether it was Monday night Football or watching the Canucks, Dave you were the best house guest, wouldn't let me carry a bag of groceries into the house, always asked me what house work he could do. This was so much fun, cooking with you in the little kitchen in Burnaby. So many lovely and full of love memories. Dave you will be missed greatly. To Mat and Ashley, just know your Dad loved you with all his being. Don and Shirley, you raised a man that was full of love for you and family, friends, you should be proud. Love Simon & Barb Larkin

To Uncle Don and Auntie Shirley I have great memories of Dave. Catching frogs for hours in the Richmond ditches, swimming in your pool, our families Yukon trip, and standing beside Dave at his wedding. Too many to list. After not seeing or hearing from Dave in years, his call call in December, threating to come visit was most welcome. I wish he had carried out the threat.
