Gordon was born in North Vancouver in 1938 and passed away after a long fought battle with Alzheimer's September 16th 2014.

Gordon left us at the age of 76 after a full life to be with his son Bruce and his pre deceased brothers and sisters.

He was always happy to `raise a few` with friends and family.

Gordon was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. May he now be resting in peace .

A donation to the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia or Parkinson Society of British Columbia in Gordon`s memory in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.

I was helping a friend with her mom's service when I came across this Obituary. I was saddened to see it was the same Gord Nicholls whose sons' I went to high school with. I was further shocked & very sorry to see Bruce had predeceased him. I remember Bruce very well, always smiling & joking around. His dog Cuda, named after his car. I see he married Colleen, my heart goes out to her. It has been many years since I have seen any of the Nicholls boys & I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. All the boys thought highly of Gord, it was evident when they spoke of him. He was the "car guy" with a players cigarette in his mouth. He was the fisherman, who took his family to Quadra island every summer. I lost my dad in August, I know the sadness & memories that flood your days. Look after your mom, she raised 6 boys, I'm sure it wasn't easy. Rest in peace Mr. Nicholls, raise a glass with Bruce.
