Robert Byron Moore
March 18th, 2016
Robert Byron, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on March 12th, 2016. Bob was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1935 and moved to Vancouver in 1949. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 44 years Marilyn Joan Moore (nee Herron) in 2002. Bob is survived by his loving family: daughter Julie (Colin), son Doug (Carolyn) and by his three lovely granddaughters Morgan, Iona and Ameila.
Bob was very involved in the community; dedicating 13 years to Port Moody’s Volunteer Fire Department, 15 years to Scouting and many other volunteer positions over the years.
Bob was lucky enough to have found love twice and will also be missed greatly by Mickey Jarvis and her family.
Our deepest gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses at Burnaby, Vancouver and Eagle Ridge Hospitals, the Home Palliative Nurses and Health Care workers for their kindness and compassion and to friends and family for their warmth, love and support.
A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held on Saturday March 26th, 2016 at the Glenayre Community Centre, 492 Glencoe Drive, Port Moody, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Parkinson's Canada, Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
Messages:
i miss you
I still can't believe you're gone and I'm sorry I wasn't there to say one final goodbye but I suppose it was for the best. I'll love you always and forever even if you did accidentally break everything and steal hot dogs from the fridge
