Norman Colclough
November 21st, 2017
Born in 1928, passed away peacefully November 21, 2017 in the Palliative Care Unit at Burnaby Hospital with his family by his side. He is survived by Marjorie his wife of 64 years, son Nigel (Marjorie) and daughter Karen (Vern), grandchildren Sean (Val), Scott (Danielle), Jeff (Jess) and Katie, great- grandsons Max and Easton, sister Beryl as well as many relatives in England. Norm and Marj came to Canada in 1955. He became involved in soccer, first as a player then as a coach and referee. He also enjoyed lawn bowling at the North Burnaby Lawn Bowling club, and his morning swim at the pool. These activities were integral to their lives and many lasting friendships were made. Norm was a Veteran and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 148.
A service will be held at Como Lake United Church, 535 Marmont Street Coquitlam, Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Firefighter's Club, 6515 Bonsor Avenue Burnaby, Friday, January 26, 2018 at 3 p.m.

I just found this about Norman's passing and wanted to pass on my condolences to you Marjorie and Nigel and Karen and families. I have fond memories of you both when we emigrated from England and how you became our extended family. I remember your kindness and the wonderful trips at Xmas to Woodwards...watching Norman play soccer and you Marjorie at school keeping an eye out. Fond , fond memories of you both and your lovely parents.. how much you both made a difference to some little kids from across the pond starting out in our new country....with much love and a grateful heart♥️ Susan Welch Sandner
Dear Marjorie and family, We extended our most sincere condolesenses to you in the loss of a most wonderful man Sandy remembers all the good times at the pool. And if Sandy did not show up, Norm came looking for him, always with a bottle of white wine. We remember how kind Norm was to drive us to the airport......early in the morning. It was my privilege to have worked with Norm at Burnaby Overhaul as a bodyman in the 80's.I'll always remember him as being a true gentleman who lived life the way it should.To the fullest!Derrick Young
Hi, I know Norman's passing was some while ago however I wanted to reach out and give my sympathy. I was searching for Norman and Marjorie as I am related to them and lost in touch when my grandad died years ago. He used to come over to Canada each year. Would love to her from you. Take care Paula
