Thomas Revane
August 22nd, 2018
Tom’s last years were spent at both Bevan Lodge and Menno Home in Abbotsford, where he died peacefully with his Wife of 69 years by his side along with close family members.
Tom moved to the coast in the mid 40’s, settling first in New Westminster where he met and married Reta. Tom spent the working years of his life as a master shipwright, developing the skills to build wooden, fibreglass, steel and aluminum vessels. Tom built the first all welded aluminum 70’ yacht (the Silver Gal) on the west coast of North America and numerous private yachts, some of which were on display at the Vancouver Boat Show. When not building boats, Tom was building houses located in the first subdivision in Richmond BC.
Tom volunteered for the Victoria Drive Community Association coaching both soccer, Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. When not on the sports field he was volunteering for the Catholic Church and the VFD collecting and repairing used toys for the Christmas season.
Survived and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Reta, Sons, Jon (Karen), Kevin, Michael (Gaby), daughters, Luana, Alana, Karan, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
