MaryAnn Nelson

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MaryAnn Nelson, who passed away peacefully on August 5, in Vancouver, BC. MaryAnn is predeceased by her father, Nels, and mother, Elsie. MaryAnn is survived by her son, Eric, and siblings, John and Darlene.
MaryAnn was born in Vancouver in February, 1944, and grew up in the Lower Mainland. She earned her Bachelors of Education at the University of British Columbia and had a long career as a primary school teacher. MaryAnn was passionate about her family, friends, baseball and cats. In her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at YVR as a Green Coat and at the Vancouver Aquarium in the wet-lab.
We will forever miss her loving, enthusiastic greeting of “hello, hello!”. A private Celebration of Life will be held on September 8, from 1-3pm, at the Vancouver Rowing Club.
