Clazina Spoor

June 4th, 2019

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Clazina (Ienke) Spoor at the age of 73, who went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

Ienke will be remembered by her loving husband Dick of 54 years, her children Karen (Paul), David (Jacqueline), Brian (Wendi), Rich (Carolyn), Linda (Matt), her 16 precious, much loved grandchildren and her extended family.

Ienke placed all her love, faith, hope and trust in her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  All those who knew her were touched by her fun nature, her acts of kindness, her big heart and her compassion for others.  We take comfort in knowing she is forever in the arms of Jesus.

Messages:

I'm allowing myself to share some words that have consoled me in moments like this. Revelation 21: 4,5 ....death will be no more John 5:25 ,,,,,,,there will be a resurrection. Yes, we will be able to see our dear loved ones that have fallen asleep in death.

Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family, Dick. We did not know you long, but long enough for Ienke to teach us the card game, “salad” at Sky Valley last January! May God comfort you in your loss. Jim and Chris Vreugdenhil

What a wonderful celebration of Ienke's life. I think she would have loved it! I have a small memory to share. A year or so ago we were both in the Laura store in Langley. We just happened to be trying on the same dress at the same time. After admiring each other and discussing where we would be wearing the dress (we were hoping to be at different functions :) ) we each bought the dress. Since that time is was a bit of a joke whenever we would run across each other we would ask how the dresses were doing. I will miss her fun loving spirit!

Ienke was a very special lady to all who blessed to know her. We have so many wonderful memories to hold onto, beginning on Thormandy Island in 1978. She was so full of fun and her arms were always open. Our hearts are broken as we send Dick, Karen, Dave, Brian, Richard and Linda and their families, our prayers that they find peace and contentment in the days ahead. She will surely be missed by many.....

What can i say but that she will be missed. Her gracious heart was open for all. She was a practical joker. The door was always open for a visit or just to talk. Her children are more like brothers and sisters to my wife and I. She was like an older sister. We pray that we can be as positive an influence as she was to all she met.

Condolences to all of you. May God grant all of you comfort and peace. We wish we weren’t so far away. We have very fond memories of the Christmases we have spent together with your very hospitable family. We always felt at home. Ienke was an amazing, lovely person and we will miss a visit with her when we come out in a couple of weeks, D.V. Love, Peter and Henrietta Jonker

My condolences to the family as you grieve the loss of a wonderful lady. One memory of when we lived on the property is that our 3 boys would never want to eat white freezies until your mom to them that white freezies are all the flavors and after that white ones were the first to go.

Ienke was a great lady with a giving heart. There was always more room at her table. On Thormanby she made waffles on her barbecue and handed them out to anyone within sight. She loved practical jokes and once strung rolls of toilet paper all over the room for a birthday. She gave us the use of her house in 2006 because we were “homeless”. We will miss her smile and ready laughter. Grateful for the light she shed wherever she went! She truly understood how to “bloom where you are planted”.

Lieve familie. R.I.P. Love Caroline

My heartfelt condolences to Mr Spoor and to my brother in law Rich and all her other children Karen Dave Brian Linda and spouse's and children. Mrs Spoor was an amazing woman. She was kind and compassionate but also bold and fierceless. My arms are stretched out hugging you all from afar and my heart is hoping you'll find peace knowing she is in God's arms now.
