Alexander Victor Towstyka

Born in 1939 in Calgary, AB; passed away March 24, 2019 in Delta, BC. Survived by sons David, Michael (Michelle), Matt (Andrea) Towstyka; partner Darlene Woodbury; sons Nathan (Kathryn) and Landon (Kimberly) Woodbury; grandchildren Jennifer, Robert, Mason, Maya, Max, Alice and Thomas; sister Patricia (Don) McIntyre.
Al’s parents, Steve and Mary Towstyka, moved the family from Calgary to the Lower Mainland of BC in October 1952. Al attended John Oliver Secondary for grades 9 and 10 and then Vancouver College for grades 11 and 12. After graduation he enrolled in the Electrical Apprenticeship program at UBC. Upon completion, he worked as an electrician for UBC then BC Hydro spanning 40 years. He retired in 1997 as Senior Electrician at BC Hydro.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 20, 2019 at 1:00pm at EagleQuest Golf – Coyote Creek, 7778 152nd Street, Surrey, BC

So sorry to hear of Alex's passing. Knew from 1962 to the present. We were the TV aerial installers when Tv was just getting going in the area. Dana got the jobs and Al & I put up the antennas. Golfed with him many times and still have special club he made for me. Spent many happy times over all these years and will miss him . Condolences to the family and especially to sister Patricia whom I also knew very well.

Goodbye, Big Al Good Friend, Good Father. Lots of happy memories from our time in N.Delta with our sons and yours during the Soccer crowd social life and our family vacation road trips to Parksville and Oregon etc. in the 70's.
