Maaike Brouwer
November 8th, 2020
It is with great sadness that we grieve the passing of our dear Wife, Mother and Beppe, but also with great gratitude to God for the faithful loving gift she was to our family.
Maaike was born in 1931 to Sjoukje, nee Broos, and Pieter Venema in Veenwoudsterwal, Fryslan, The Netherlands. She served as a domestic aide for two pastor families and then as care aide in a residential care facility.

We last saw Pieter Brouwer when we were at Elim visiting with Clara Kastelein after the service we had for Ken. It was So nice to have this little visit with pastor Brouwer and we remember he was complaining that he could not even kiss his wife because of Covid restrictions. May God comfort you all as you celebrate her life.
Our condolences to Peter and all you children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. We had Bible study with you, Peter and May, and we remember her gentle nature and also her easy laugh. She will be greatly missed by all of you. May God comfort you with his love and promises!

It is Friday evening Pieter and Family. I chose to wait with my condolences to you and to all your family, for our friendship is wonderful, and that is why I am sharing this now. In the past months we so often discussed Maaike's failing health, and knew the end of her earthly life and time had come to an end, but with the glory at Home she now celebrates with the multitudes in wonderful celebration--hard to imagine, but that is your, and all our amazing future! our friendship has meaning more than can be, and i am so blessed to be friends in this time, knowing the pain of the loss of a loved one for you and myself. God's blessings, and ongoing nearness to you and all your family. Henk
