Thomas Skolovy
August 31st, 1953 ~ August 14th, 2021
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Thomas (Tom).
Tom is survived by and greatly missed by his beloved wife Judi. Tom and Judi shared the love for each other and their combined families. Family meant everything to Tom...especially the grandchildren that brought such joy into his life.
Tom is survived by his daughter Melanie (Egzon) (Brooks, Isabella, Juliana, Luc, Aleksander, and Vienna) and son Daniel (Brittany) (Quinn). Stepchildren Jaime, Kelsey (Blair) (Bentley, Paige and Arianna) David (Kylee). Tom is also survived by sister Sandy (Larry) (Natalie, Kara) brother Rae (Tracy) (Steven, Scott (Kelsey).
Tom valued his many lifelong friends and he made friendship a treasured experience. A true, gentle, and loving soul with a heart of gold.
In his younger years Tom worked at McDonald’s and Kenworth, then in 1976 started his career as a class 1 driver at BC Tel / Telus until his retirement in 2011 after 35 years. Tom made lifelong friendships with so many of his coworkers (one of which is his wife Judi).
Tom was an avid baseball fan and player and is even on the wall of fame at Nat Bailey Stadium where he was a batboy in his youth. He also loved hockey and played goalie for many years.
Tom loved life and never gave up on his fight with cancer (multiple myeloma), which took his life far too soon.
Tom’s love, friendship and kindness will never be forgotten.
You will forever be in our hearts…Love you forever

Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Tom and I started at B.C. Tel on the same day Feb. 16, 1976. And we retired from Telus around the same time 35 years later. He always had a smile even when on strike or locked out. Thinking of Judi and family.

Forever in our memories. Tom’s kind and easy going spirit was always so welcoming and fun. Always up for a good time. Baseball shirts for everyone going to the Ball Game, his flat black “stealth” scooter, his rosy cheeks and funny giggle. Tom’s love for Judi, family and friends was admirable. Feeling grateful to have be a part of it. Gone too soon. We’re going to miss Tom very much. RIP, Tom. (aka REV)
My deepest heartfelt sympathy Judi. Tom was loved and this truly captured his love of life.
We will always cherish our friendship with Tom. He was so very easy to be around. Thinking of Judi and the whole family in this difficult time.
Fond memories of Tom....just found out here in rural Ontario. Condolences WR and Family .
