Marilyn Gail Penner (nee Kaiser)
Sept 1940 - Oct 2022

Our family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister Gail Penner.  The matriarch and light of our family was called home to be with our Lord at age 82 on Sunday, October 9, 2022, after being admitted to Langley Memorial Hospital late the night before.

God blessed her with an amazing gift of servanthood, always ready and willing to help with any task that was needed.  Family and friends were all recipients of her hospitality.  She loved to host and added joy and sparkle to celebrations and holidays. Whether family, friend, acquaintance, or stranger, she made everyone feel welcome and appreciated.  Gardening, sewing, cooking, and travelling were some of her favorite things to do.

She leaves behind Norman, her loving husband of 64 years, her children Darrell (Susan) Penner, Neil Penner, Susan (Dean) Boyd, Carol (Kevin) Antonsen, her grandchildren Julianna (Matthew) Jaehrlich, Tamara Antonsen, Ian Antonsen, David Boyd, Hugh Penner, Sarah Boyd and Orson Penner and her siblings Jim Kaiser, Beverly Cunningham, Lyle Kaiser, and Kay Kaiser.  She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Marjorie Kaiser.

Our family wishes to express appreciation and gratitude for all the prayers, words of encouragement, cards and expressions of sympathy received from family and friends.

“Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” 1 Thess 5:16-17

Messages:

Wonderful Aunt. Miss her kindness and enthusiasm of all that her family was doing and accomplished. She loved them deeply and shared a little of that love with me. I am so very grateful and blessed that she was part of my life. Heaven is a much brighter place with her in it.
