As a member of the school board and the foundation board I loved this powerful lady. At a new foundation we were an enjoyed a humble beginning with respect to SCHOLARSHIPS, Maureen took us into the big leagues. As she ran the scholarship committee for the district, she humbly managed $1 million… Which she brought into the foundation. I have huge respect and love and admiration for this quiet, hard-working soul. I bless her memory and am grateful to have known her. Please let me know when the celebration of life is as I would love to attend.
I have never forgotten "Mrs. Puls", my teacher at Killarney High School and was devastated when she left for another school. Best teacher ever. My condolences to her family.
I only know this amazing woman through the legacy she leaves in her daughter and granddaughter. Her accomplishments are remarkable. My deepest sympathy to all who loved her.
My sympathies to all the family. I knew Maureen when we both worked at Aldergrove Secondary School 1970-1973. She was the seasoned veteran, I the rookie teacher trying to learn the ropes, and she was always most kind and helpful. A classy lady indeed.
My condolences to Fred and his family. Maureen was a great community volunteer and served her local community well over the years. She will be sadly missed. Our prayers are with your family during this sad time.
To Fred and family our thoughts are with you all as we hear of Maureen's passing. She was a wonderful and dedicated lady as testified by her obituary. It was an honour to have known her. Rest in Peace Maureen.
Such a respected and beloved educator. I will never forget her time at Langley Secondary. A true mentor. As scholarship counsellor at LSS I used to chuckle to myself throughout our meetings. She had a remarkable way of getting us all to do it exactly the way she thought was correct. In actuality, she had done so much of the prep work she made it easy for us. My family will always remember with great fondness the year-end staff parties at their farm. So many of our staffs' children had their first horseback ride with Maureen or Fred at the helm. She was so committed and dedicated to everything in which she was involved. To use the word 'legend' would be an understatement. RIP Maureen. Chris Arcari Langley, BC
My deepest sympathies to you all. She was a wonderful person and I truly enjoyed our conversations over the years. Her contributions to Langley will never be forgotten.
I wish the family strength in love and companionship as they mourn the loss of this much beloved lady. I did not know Maureen well but through Fred and the BC Farm museum I knew of her. I have a fond memory of the time I took my 3 year old grandson to their farm and Maureen took him for a ride on the wheelchair with her and they let him climb on the tractor and see the horses. We had a lovely time with her and Fred, never to be forgotten.
Maureen’s obituary speaks for itself. Such an amazing legacy from an inspirational educator! Langley will be eternally grateful for her contributions and will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace Maureen.
Our condolences, love and prayers to Fred and all the family. Maureen served her community well and will be missed. May the knowledge that many people care for you help make this difficult time a bit easier to go through.
I am so dearly sorry for your loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to Maureen's family and many relatives. RIP
I worked in the office at Langley Education Centre and had the pleasure of working with Maureen while she was there. She was quite witty and we had a few laughs together. A wonderful woman. My condolences to Fred and family.
