With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kai – predeceased by his father, Ken in 2017 and his grandparents – Sijchien Wever, Erika and Hans Rabehl. He is survived by his mother Gerda Wever-Rabehl, stepdad Pete Preissl, his Opa Egbert Wever and relatives in the Netherlands, as well as his aunts Barbara and Inez Rabehl.

Kai was a kind, caring, and empathetic young man. He loved to skateboard, ski, and mountain bike. Above all else, Kai loved nature. His ashes have been joined with those of his father in Squamish.

Gerda and Pete would like to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff who were there for Kai over the years. A private ceremony will be held on May 14 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Miklat Recovery Society in Powell River would be very much appreciated.
