Peter Kruizenga

Peter passed away unexpectedly on July 1,2023 He was at home with his beloved wife of 27 years by his side. He was 86 years old.
He was born and grew up in the Netherlands. With his parents and 6 of his 7 siblings he immigrated to Canada in 1951. They settled in Manitoba In 1964 Peter moved to BC and fell in love with the province.
He and Pat were married in 1996. Peter and Pat enjoyed many travelling adventures together, A highlight was their 5 !/2 month trip across Canada and the USA in their little RV named “Betsy”.
Peter retired from Sears Canada in 2000. He spent much of his retirement years volunteering in his community, For 16 years he faithfully gave of his time working at the South Delta Food Bank He also helped out in various capacities at his church . As well, he was involved in driving cancer patients to and from their appointments.
He is survived by his loving and much loved wife, Patricia , 2 sisters, Shirley(Harry), Margaret(Peter), 1 brother, John(Rita), many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was a favorite uncle.
A kind, warm man....a man of deep faith.
Peter enjoyed the friendship and close fellowship he found in his church family.
Memorial Service for Peter held on July 13,2023 at 1pm at the Ladner Christian Reformed Church
All of the Alberta Kruizenga clan express our sadness to hear about our uncle Peter! We all thought highly of our uncle. He was such a pleasant man and we will always remember his big smile and laughter when he was around our family.
