Barry Moreton

July 22, 1943- May 16, 2023

Barry was born in Calgary, Alberta on July 22, 1943 to Herbert and Helen Moreton. He was the second of 4 children:

Marlene, Barry, Vern and Valerie.

Barry married his beloved wife Irene on Aug 13, 1966. They settled in North Vancouver where they had 6 children:

Son Jonathan married to Michele, son Jeffrey, daughter Michelle married to Rob, daughter Andrea married to Marvin, son Gerald and daughter Christina married to Tanyer. He later welcomed his grandchildren: Joshua married to Tianna, Julian, Ben, Melissa, Richard, Cassandra, Emily, Madison and Makayla.

Barry loved horses and the idea of having a farm. The family went on many camping trips with horseback riding, hiking and riding bikes. Shortly after retiring from the District of West Vancouver at age 60, they moved to Maple Ridge. He loved his garden and would spend most of his days tending to it. He grew grapes, apples, cherries, rhubarb, peas, carrots, peaches and the list goes on. Whoever would visit would get a tour of the yard/garden and leave with fruit or veggies from the garden. 

Barry was a hard worker and no matter what life threw at him, he would provide for his family the best he could.

Barry, Husband, Dad, Grandpa, we love you very much and will miss you dearly.
