Donaleen Saidock (Tapley)
Passed away Sunday morning June 18th peacefully with Sandra, Candice, and Melissa at her side.
Donna was born February 20th ,1933 in Victoria BC. She is predeceased by her parents Walter and Joyce, husband Harvey and three sons Greg, Bruce, and Dan. She is survived by her brother Ray, daughter Sandra, five grandchildren Candice, Melissa, Travis, Celeste, and Pearce three great grandchildren Kaiya, Keeley, and Lincoln as well as many more extended family and friends.
Donna spent her childhood growing up in Oak Bay spending many hours on the ocean with her cousins which she often fondly referred to in later years.
She began her working career as a model for Woodwards department store which ultimately led her to a career in fashion and retail.
Through a chance meeting she met Harvey Saidock and with a short courtship they married and remained happily so until his death in 2011.
They moved from Vancouver to Chilliwack and finally settled in Abbotsford while they raised four children.
Donna was an avid seamstress and made many costumes and outfits for her children’s activities and sports while spending endless hours transporting them to and from these events.
She was always eager to help someone in need she was kindhearted and enjoyed spending time with her grand and great grand Children family was most important to her.
Donna will be missed dearly for her Charismatic and fun-loving personality.
