It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Douglas David Todoruk.
Doug passed away peacefully at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on Sunday January 22, 2023, with his family by his side a few weeks short of his 80th birthday.
Doug was a kind, caring and generous man who always put his family first. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
He was an avid, passionate fly fisherman and spent many joyful hours out on the water. He was always very active either playing badminton, golfing, or going for long walks. He loved to travel and explore and enjoyed many exciting adventures throughout the world.
Doug enjoyed a long career in Business Management retiring from Hershey’s Canada in 1998.
Doug married his wife Elaine in 1967 and they had one son David. Doug and Elaine shared 48 years together before her passing in 2015.
He was also predeceased by his parents John and Ann Todoruk, brother Bob and in-laws John and Stella Polywkan.
Doug leaves behind his son Dave (Melissa), grandson Justin (Alex), granddaughter Jessica, Austin, Jonathan, and Ava, and Brandon.
Loving partner Kristine Stenner, her son Nicholas (Katrina) and granddaughter Nova.
Brother Terry (Mary), sisters-in-law Pat Todoruk, Joan Yaroshko (Graham Edney), brothers-in-law Bob Polywkan (Marilyn) and Jim Polywkan, along with many nieces, nephews. Doug was the FUN UNCLE to numerous great nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
