In the early morning hours of June 24, 2018, at the age of 87, Steve discovered a new coffee house where he was welcomed with open arms by his departed old friends and relatives. Steve is predeceased by daughter Linda and brothers Joe and Sandy. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Yvonne; daughter Vickie Zischka (Frank) and son Stephen (Patty). Also survived by grandchildren Robert (Nicole), Veronika (Tom), Bruce, Monika, Kevin and great granddaughter Brooklyn.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 5640 - 188 Street, Surrey, BC. Pastor Layton Chmelyk, Celebrant. Should friends desire, donations to the Surrey Hospital Foundation, 13750 – 96 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3V 1Z2, appreciated.

I only met Stephen a couple of times but appreciated his (and Yvonne's) love and concern for Linda. My son Jeff resided with Linda from 2008 until her passing. So sorry for your loss.

I met Steve back in 1974 when I first started working in West Lawn at Riverview Hospital. Steve will forever be one of my all time favorite staff members. He was such a kind, fun-loving fellow. He always had a huge smile on his face. Rest in Peace, Steve. My sincerest condolences to Steve's wife and family. He always spoke so lovingly of you all.
