Mo Kay Sullivan Chan

December 21st, 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mo Kay Sullivan on December 21, 2018.

Kay will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 54 years, Robert, and their children, Montgomery (Martha), Cliff (Vivien), and Rosalind (Glen); grandchildren, Javlin, Chantelle, Charlton, Declan, Macklin, Edison and Megan; sisters, Muwen and Muyun and numerous extended family members and great friends.

Kay dedicated her life in raising her children as well as serving as a teacher and assistant principal for over 30 years in Hong Kong. She moved to Canada after retirement and became an active member at St. Monica’s Parish and volunteered her time with the Legion of Mary, Catholic Women’s League as well as many other committees.

She was a compassionate, thoughtful, and selfless woman who put others’ needs ahead of her own, whether it was for her husband, her children or for her grandchildren or friends. She loved to read, knit, spend time with relatives and friends and travel, exploring God’s creation. Her love of life, sense of humor, generosity, and kindness will be sorely missed.

Prayer services will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd at 5:30pm and mass will be held on Thursday, January 3rd at 11am at St. Monica’s Parish, 12011 Woodhead Road, Richmond, BC V6V 1G2
