March 25, 2025

In Loving Memory of Florence Helen Graham (nee Blain) - Born June 5, 1940
Florence Graham, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, passed away on March 25th, 2025, in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia - her home for over three decades. Surrounded by family and friends, Florence left this world peacefully, having lived an active life full of love and faith.
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, daughter of Lorne & Amy Blain (of Gibsons), Florence developed a deep love for the ocean, a passion she carried throughout her life. As a strong swimmer, she passed this love onto her children and grandchildren by investing in a pool in her backyard. Every grandchild has special memories of laughter and lemonade on summer afternoons by the pool.
Florence was predeceased by her two brothers, Don and Kenny Blain, whom she cherished. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Robert, and her son-in-law, Gordon. Their reunion in the presence of the Lord will be a beautiful one.
She is survived by her two brothers, Norm (Anne) and Tom (Gloria), who brought her great joy. Florence’s daughters, Colleen (Rick) Denoni and Kathleen (Gordon) Stewardson, along with her adored grandchildren and greats, will forever carry her memory. Her family includes: Clinton (Erica, great-grandchildren Flora, Daphne, & Claira), Tawrin (Renee), Shannyn (Madison), Joshua (Kendall, great-grandchildren Judah, Asher, Ava & Ellie), Bethany (Greg, great-grandchildren Annabelle, Caleb, Damian, Hudson & Esther), and Paul (Zoya).
Florence had a deep love for music and dedicated many years of her life to teaching piano and attending recitals and concerts. She even travelled as far as Cleveland Ohio to hear her grandson perform for his masters degree. Her passion for sharing the gift of music will continue to expand as those she taught keep music in their lives.
Remaining active well into her 70’s, Florence continued to ski, swim and play her beloved racquet sports. All of her grandchildren remember skiing with their Nana.
Florence loved learning and pursued education, attending SFU as an adult and completing her ARCT when her daughters were teenagers. She was also committed to her language learning, daily practicing her Duolingo.
Florence's legacy of music, faith, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Florence to the BC Epilepsy Society or the Parkinson Society of BC.
