Alun Hughes

Alun Hughes was born in 1938 in Gwynfryn, Rhuallt, North Wales. Alun passed away suddenly on June 19, 2020 at Surrey Memorial Hospital and is gone to be with his Lord and Saviour.

Alun is survived by his loving wife, Jean, and their four children, David, Colin, Suzanne, Kathryn and his siblings, Gwyn, (Linda), Menna, Nerys and brother-in-law, Bob Bridgen.

Alun was in the RAF for ten years as a Corporal, married, Jean on August 5, 1961 in Norwich, Norfolk England and they immigrated to Canada in 1966. Alun retired as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer after 28 years with CP Air/Canadian Airlines.  After his retirement, he was very active with the Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held on September 15, 2020. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you so desire, donations may be made to the charity of your choice to honour his memory.
