Gregory Richard McElroy

Greg McElroy of Lacombe, AB, passed away at the University Hospital in Edmonton. He was born August 19, 1968 to proud parents, Pat and Dick McElroy. Greg will be forever missed by his parents; Pat and Dick, his sister; Susan, and a very special niece; Caitlin (Trevor) Ball. He was looking forward, with excitement, to his role as a “great uncle” in the early fall. Greg is also survived by his girlfriend; Dagmar Herrmann, Aunts; Aileen Polushin, Kay Proudfoot, Doris McElroy, Uncles; Bob (Marie) McElroy, Bob (Mikki) Collis, Barry Collis and many cousins and friends. A Memorial Service was held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: University Hospital Edmonton – Hope Program, Aberhart Centre One, 9120A, 11402 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 2J3 or a charity of one’s choice. Cremation Services entrusted to Red Deer Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services.

I am so saddened by the death of Greg. He was a wonderful friend to me and so many...his being gone will leave a void in so many lives. My memories of Greg are tenfold and his laugh will always ring in my ears. Certain people touch your life, and he was certainly one of them. My prayers and thoughts are with Greg's mother, father and sister now.

So sorry to hear of Greg's death --would have attended his service but was in Fort Saskatchewan for the funeral of my sister-in-law -- hope all the great memories you have will comfort and sustain you in the difficult months ahead
