I really hope to meet u all someday. He was a good friend and a good Dad. xxxooo

Gall darn Mike would come into The Vat Pub when I was bartending,or when I was just having an after shift drink. We had alot of mutual friends, and we would talk about the old times with them. And he would tell joke after joke, sometimes to the point that I didn't want to hear any gall darn jokes anymore!!! Now I want to hear them all again a hundred times over! Rest In Peace You jokeman! I will always miss pouring your whiskey and pepsi short as soon as I saw you pull up to the bar! It was always ready for you when you walked in the door! I don't drink whiskey, but I had 5 shorts for ya after the service! As the song they played at your service by OZZY said..."I'll See You On The Other Side!"

I have known Mike for many years,he'll will be sadly missed.I would like Cory,Mikey and Blaydon to know we are thinking of them, and to all his family,my heart goes out to you! I moved away from Red Deer in 1999,but Mike and I always kept in contact,he used to come visit me in Brooks and every time I was in Red Deer,we always hooked up.It breaks my heart that I cant be there today,Mike was always there for me,no matter what.I will miss his sense of humor,he used to say to me"Kari,it looks like you combed your hair with a shot gun" I'd tell him to go to hell and then we'd laugh. He was a very good friend and I will miss him terribly.I have 20 years of memories with Mike, and I will cherish them forever.I miss you my friend!!!!

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. Very unexpected! Mike worked as a Floorhand and Derrickman for me back in the 80's and was a man you could always count on getting his work done. Unfortunatly, the last time I saw Mike was probably 25 years ago but he kept wandering back into my thoughts many a time. I think Mike was maybe 17 or 18 years old, about 135lbs soaking wet and would work like a man twice his size! We all enjoyed working with Mike and on a funny note, he was always accused of smuggling Pipe dope home on his cloths to re-sell it, cause he was always covered in it! Once again, so sorry to hear this extremely upsetting news and my sincere condolences to all of his Family
