MADSEN, Anna (nee Nielsen)
Anna Kathrine, of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Stettler Hospital on July 13, 2014, at the age of 92 years. Anna was born in Denmark, April 25, 1922. She was the second child of ten children. She came to Canada in 1955, and met fellow Dane, Ejner. They were married in 1957, and had two daughters, Yvonna and Belinda. They lived in Edmonton, and Calgary, before settling in Red Deer. She worked at Michener Centre, in the sewing room for ten years, until her retirement. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and Friday mornings with her coffee ‘klatch’. She is survived by her daughters, Yvonna Donnelly (Shawn), and Belinda Madsen; her grandchildren, Shannon Cardinal (Remi) and Christopher Donnelly; and her great-granddaughter, Zoe Cardinal; one sister, Ester Flensborg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
