Neil Alexander Saunders

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Neil Saunders on March 13, 2015.  Neil passed away at the Red Deer Hospice surrounded by his family at the age of 73.  He was born and raised in Innisfail, Alberta. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy, daughters Tania and Shannon Saunders and Andrea McLean (Gary), Grandchildren Taylor, Levi Amundson and Alex and Faith McLean.  Brother Allen Saunders (Eleanor), sisters Pat Marshall, Bonnie Cummins (Brian) and numerous nieces and nephews, special friends Shawn and Peggy Leonard.  He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Christine Saunders and brother- in law, Greg Marshall. He was a handy man who enjoyed woodworking and fixing small machinery. We will miss his witty humor and smile.  Family and friends are welcomed to an open house at 117 Lampard Crescent, Red Deer from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on March 18.  Please come at your convenience during those hours in casual wear.  A sincere thank you to the staff of the Red Deer Hospice.  They were of great comfort to both Neil and family during his final days.  Also, thanks to the staff at unit 32 at RDRH, Dr. Peter Bouch, Dr Jacqueline Baker and staff at Sunset manor in Innisfail.  In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Red Deer Hospice, 99 Arnot Drive, Red Deer, T4R 3S6 would be greatly appreciated.
