Stan Faulkner passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the age of 87 years. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Ted; and numerous nieces, nephews & their families. Stan is predeceased by his loving wife, Leona (nee Black) Faulkner and his brother, Norman. Stan was born in St. James, MB and was raised in Charleswood with his brothers, Norm and Ted. He worked most of his life in the oil patch pipelines in Alberta, from which he retired in 1991. He and his wife loved to travel and spend their summers in Osoyoos, BC, camping and swimming. Stan moved to Red Deer in 2004 from Didsbury. He loved to walk all the park & bike trails around Red Deer.
As per Stan’s wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for all their wonderful care and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stan’s memory to the Red Deer Regional Hospital, PO Bag 5030, Red Deer, AB, T4N 6R2 or the charity of your choice.
My condolences go out to Stans family & friends, I used to see Stan at the Kerry Wood nature centre often, we used to have our little chats which I enjoyed. He loved the Kerry Wood & was down there often in the summer months, may be RIP.....Ann Cousins
