Paul Norvila of Bentley left to be with his Lord on February 25, 2018 at the age of 78. He passed peacefully at the Red Deer hospital after years of struggling with Parkinson’s and kidney failure. He continued curling and golfing as long as he could, and fought hard right to the end. Paul spent his entire life on the family farmstead in the Bentley area.
Family and community were Paul’s priorities.
He spent an immeasurable amount of time volunteering for groups including 4-H, Cubs & Scouts, horseshoes, curling, new Ag centre committee, Rimbey Renal Dialysis Support Group, Ag Society, library board, OLVC youth camp and was good at local fundraising or lending equipment to help out.
He much adored his family.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife June of over 52 years; son Terry with wife Patricia and daughter Zose; daughter Tammy with children Brayden, Garrett and Cassandra; and son Erle with wife Christel and sons Gunnar and Gus; and numerous other family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on March 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sylvan Lake Catholic Church with Interment to follow at the Bentley Cemetery. He was predeceased by his mother Zose in 1974 and father Charlie in 1984.
