Robert Philippe Jegou

Bob passed away unexpectedly at home, in Red Deer, Alberta, on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019, at the age of 78 yrs. Bob was born on June 30, 1941 in Saint-Lo, France.  Shortly after WWII, Bob and his family immigrated to Canada in 1948. He enjoyed sharing stories about his service as an infantryman in the Canadian Forces, working in the off shore oil industry and being in the outdoors. Bob is survived by his sister Marcie of Florida and his three children; Patrice (Yinka), Tiffany (Mark), and Robert; and 2 granddaughters, Georgia and Caroline. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Marcel and Marguerite Jegou, and siblings: Michael, Vernon, Colin, Jean, Simonne, and Val. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will not be a formal service.

Bob was a great story teller, and entertained us with many tales of his adventures when we were young. He had an infectious love of life and though i had not seen uncle bob in the past years, I have thought of him often. He will be missed.
