Donald Vincent Brett

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald (Don) Vincent Brett. Don passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the age of 85, after a long battle with dementia at the Villa Marie in Red Deer, Alberta. Don was born Febuary 23, 1934 in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; his children, Rod Brett, Shawn (Diane) Brett, Kimberly Kjos, Troy (Karen) Brett, and Timothy Brett; his siblings, Terry (Faye) Brett, Marie Thomson, Diana (Leonard) Leippi, Stanley (Dianne) Brett and Marleen (Garry) Conacher; grandchildren Joleene (Mike), Cynthia (Terrance), Shane, Jessica (Tyrel), Kristy (Keegan), Kyle, Nolan and Naomi; 9 great-grandchildren; his stepchildren, Brad Hewitt and Tara Hewitt Evans and families; as well as many other family members too numerous to mention. Don was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Mable Brett; 2 sisters, Hazel Adams and Colleen Hall; brother-in-law, Bill Thompson, and former wife, Edith Brett. At Don's request no Funeral Service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be discussed and arranged at the family farm outside of Turtleford, Saskatchewan at a later date.
