Margaret Sharon Cross

October 11th, 2020

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma on October 11, 2020 after a long battle with COPD. We are at peace knowing she is no longer suffering and has entered her eternal home.

Sharon was born on February 22, 1939 in Belleville, Ontario. Settling in Red Deer in 1973, Sharon worked for Travelaire as the inventory controller and later for the City of Red Deer as a tax assessor. In her spare time she was the secretary treasurer for the Red Deer Rustlers in the 1970’s and billeting many players from the hockey club.

Sharon is survived by her three children: daughters, Janet and Gloria of Red Deer; son, Jim (Lanette) of Blackfalds; Billet son, Gord (Juanita) of Edmonton; ten beautiful grandchildren; and her most cherished roll of GG to seventeen great-grandchildren.

Sharon was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Loreen. As per Sharon’s request there will be No Service.

Messages:

So sorry to hear about the beloved Sharon. She was a sweet sweet lady and an inspiration. It is very hard to go through the grief of losing a mom as I did last year. I hope Janet and Jim and Jacqueline and rest of family are doing ok. From Linda and Landon

Janet I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother knew me since I was 7 years old. You ignored her consistently by nurturing and taking care of her all the time. Thank you for taking me with you on some of your visits and shopping for your mothers needs. I know this is extremely hard and each day presents a different challenge. Your mom had a strong faith and she is with her Saviour in peace. I love you my friend.
