Gavril Sulyak

August 13th, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of

Gavril Sulyak resident of Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday

August 13, 2020 at the age of 67.

Gavril was born on March 8, 1953 in Baia Mare, Romania and moved to Canada in 1983 with his family.

To many he was known as Gabby/Gabi. He had a passion for building anything and everything out of wood, he built many things over his career as a carpenter and man of many skills

that all of us will cherish.

Gavril loved to work with his hands and even more teaching his skill set to anyone that ask for his help. His passion for cooking authentic Hungarian cuisine was top notch and sharing his creations was one of the things he cherished. Although he was passionate about his trade when it was time to relax he enjoyed motorcycling and spending time with Zoe his Hungarian Puli.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Katalin; and his son, Gabor; brother, Istvan Sulyak, Carl Sulyak, & Feri Dan Sulyak; and many nieces and nephew’s. Gavril will be dearly and his memory cherished by all who had the pleasure to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 13, 2021 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Red Deer, Alberta.

Messages:

Sincere condolences to you Gabi , your mom Kata and rest of the family. Must to be so hard without Him . His kind heart will stay in our memory for ever . Oszinte részvetunk Katanak és neked Gabi , szívünkbe örökké élni fog . Nyugodjon békében és maradjatok erősek , mert nagyon nehéz lehet előírni ezt a fájdalmat .

My deepest sympathy to you all. Gabby will be missed by all.

Brother I know how much you miss your Father, it would be a lot easier if he wasn't such good, loving Man. The kind of person that touched the hearts of everyone he came in contact with. This service is long overdue
