It is with great sorrow that the family of Shirley Patricia Carey announces her passing peacefully on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the age of 59, surrounded by her family at the Red Deer hospital.
After a lengthy illness Shirley’s courage, strength and loving personality touched the hearts of so many, leaving everlasting memories.
Shirley is lovingly remembered by her husband, Trevor Carey; daughter, Melissa Deir Carey; her son, Tyler Carey; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jayden of Red Deer. Also left to mourn with loving memories are her family members in Grand falls Windsor, NL ; her mother, Mary Deir; sisters, Mary(Bob) Tremblett, Dinah(Doug) Sparks, and Roseann(Tony) Walsh; brothers, Hubert(Denise) Deir and Robert Deir; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins along with other extended relatives. She is predeceased by her father, Hubert Deir of Grand Falls Windsor.

I had the privilege of working with Shirley at Walmart for years, a lovely lady say the least. I have lots of memories of going for suppers,our little Christmas parties between friends. Rest easy Shirley, I’m sure you will be missed. Thoughts and prayers for her family..
