It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Krasko on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Red Deer, Alberta. Peter was born in Prince Albert on August 20, 1948 and grew up in the Snowden and Smeaton area. He attended Justemere School south of Snowden, then Smeaton School and completed high school at Choiceland, Saskatchewan. Peter started working at an early age. He was a carpenter by trade and worked many places in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. One of his best loved jobs was carpentry with the maintenance crew at Prince Albert National Park. He always loved to build and tinker at making things (making something out of nothing). Peter moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 1992 and worked there until his retirement.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Darlene (Ausum) of 36 years; his sisters, Marie (Duncan) MacKenzie, Frances Gunson, Iris (Blair) Smith, Audrey (Ken) Martin, Alice Grewcock; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bernie) Lukan; Uncle, Paul Zaparaniuk; Aunt, Jean Lundy, Aunt Hilda Krasko;as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Sally Krasko; his mother and father-in-law, Don and Luella Ausum; and brother-in-law, Gary Grewcock. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
