Jo-Anne Delaney
In loving adoration of our mother, sister, auntie, grandmother and wife..
My Grandma always said if you can’t say anything nice don’t say it at all! Also if your going to be anything in life, be kind!!
Of all the things that I will remember it will be your laughter… your smile and energy lit up any room you entered. When the babies were born, for every single one of your grandchildren you were at the hospital the same day.. you were always there. Showering them with your beautiful smile and pure love.. I’ll remember the way every one of your newborn grandchildren fell to sleep as soon as they were in your arms.. you had that touch. I’ll remember the change of energy in the house when your favourite song came on, you would be dancing in your chair and humming along. I can still hear the way you’d hum to a song… I can hear your infectious laughter when cracking jokes at the best and worst of times, your humour had no filter on most days, catching us all off guard with a dirty joke lol... or how you loved to tease us all about everything; that was your favourite pastime…
Today we woke up and realized that the sun went down and came back up and this was not a bad dream but it is very real… you aren’t here on this plane with us anymore. I don’t know how to go on this journey of life without your smile, guidance and without the unconditional love you have for each and every one of us. I do know this… you left the best part of you in all of us, you left the love of a best friend, the power of a mother and the queen strength and resistance of this family matriarch…. You are one of a kind and irreplaceable… in your memory I promise to honour your ways of life, how you loved fiercely, how you held us, how you laughed with us. I will be here teaching the peace you taught me to these little loves you adored so much.
I’m so very sorry to see you go, but we will be together in the next life.. till then we will be waiting for the hugs and love you gave so well and so freely. <3 Rest In Paradise Love Always
