It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bev on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the age of 82, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Bev also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Murray (Andrea) Sluggett of Cochrane, Alberta, Dwayne (Barb) Sluggett of Red Deer, Alberta, Heather (Greig) Reid Kamloops B.C; 5 grandchildren, Kristi (Curtis) Ross, Leagh Stoller, Tyler (Kallie) Sluggett, Ashee Sluggett and Brynn Sluggett; 3 great grandchildren, Daylen and Bentley Stoller, Hayes Sluggett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Bev was predeceased by her mom and dad Dorothy and John "Jack" Burrows; her brothers, Raymond, Larry, Brian Burrows.
Bev was born on June 25, 1939 the family moved to Banff, Alberta in 1954 where her dad opened a souvenir store where Bev started her career in retail. Bev enjoyed the retail business working in various stores through out Banff, until she retired in 2004. Bev was a very social person and active in the community President of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion #26 several years with the Banff I.O.D.E. Bev helped out at the United Church of Canada. Bev was very involved in her grandchildren's activities you could find her at a dance recital, hockey arena, horse arena or bowling alley. Bev loved family gathering's, walks along the Bow River, her favorite Christmas baking.
Cremation has taken place, Bev will be laid to rest in Banff Mountain View Cemetery. At Bev's request, no Funeral Service will be held.
