Bradley Leonard Genert
June 12th, 2013
Bradley Leonard Genert passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Regina, SK with his family by his side.
Brad was born in Eastend, SK, the second son of Gordon and Lois Genert. He grew up on the farm south of Robsart and attended school in Consul, SK. In January, 1979 he began his lifelong passion of repairing vehicles when he started working for his future father-in-law at Sunny’s Auto Body Ltd. On July 11, 1981 Brad married his best friend, Shelly Barroby. Three children followed: Crystal (September 11, 1982), Mark (January 3, 1985), and Jesse (February 19, 1987). They were his pride and joy. In May of 2005, Sunny retired and Brad and Shelly purchased “The Shop” where Brad shared his passion and knowledge of vehicle restoration with his son Jesse, niece Kelly, and nephew Jeremy.
Brad loved fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, camping, and restoring vehicles. He especially loved spending time with good friends and nothing was more important to him than his family. If anyone needed anything, Brad was always there to lend a hand. He was a generous and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who had a wonderful sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by so many.
He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Shelly; his three children Crystal, Mark, and Jesse and his very close friend and son-in-law, Greg and Greg’s daughter Brooke. Also surviving him are his mother Lois Genert; brothers Owen (Jo), Randy (Cindy), and Leon (Kim); father-in-law Sunny Barroby and mother-in-law Lynda Barroby; sisters-in-law Becky Smith (Glen) and Renda Boschee (Russ); and numerous well-loved nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.

My husband, my partner, my best friend. I miss you more than words could ever express.
