Andrew Joseph Bereti
November 8th, 1930 ~ October 7th, 2016
On Friday, October 7, 2016 with his wife and family around him, Andy went to meet his Lord and Saviour.
He Leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Helen; children Sharie (David), Rick (Susan), and Kelvin (Lori-Lee); grandchildren of whom he was endlessly proud: Natasha (Sean), Taylor (Jessica), Melissa, Dustin (Tanay), Cara, Kelsey (Robin), and Andy’s joy, great-grandson Axel; as well as his brother Bill (Delphine); sister Lillian; Helen’s family Arlene (Harold), Shirley (Lyle), Albert (Marcia) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Ann, Rosie, Helen, Cecile, Barbara, and Mary; brothers Casper, George, Martin, Joe, John, and Frank; sisters-in-law Eva and Eleanor; brothers-in-law John, Steve, and Johnny.
Andy was born in Cupar, SK on November 8, 1930 and grew up in a farming family where hard work, loyalty, and honesty were characteristics he embraced. After a two year courtship he married his best friend and true love Helen on August 23, 1955 and began working at McDonald’s Consolidated where he retired after 35 years.
Andy was rarely seen without a smile on his face, he was a true Christian, always willing to help others and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He took great pleasure fishing with Rick, Taylor, Vern, Larry, and ‘The Boys’, annual golf trips with Kelvin and Dustin, appreciating nature’s beauty with Sharie and Dave, teaching his grandchildren cribbage, being at every soccer or hockey game, every dance recital or graduation and most important to this man of faith – each family sacrament. Andy was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.
His passing will leave a void in the lives of all who knew him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Child Roman Catholic Church, 2636 – 7th Avenue East, Regina, SK with Reverend Danilo Rafael, Celebrant. Private family interment. Flowers gratefully declined, those wishing may contribute to Andy’s favourite charities – The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sask. Diabetes Association.

It is with the deepest sorrow we felt when we received our call from auntie Helen. We always had a special place in our hearts for our uncle Andy. He always greeted us with a heart felt smile and hug. We will miss him. However, We find solitude knowing that he is with our Savior Jesus Christ and that we will see him again. To my extended family, We pray for your pain and sorrow of losing such a fine man. He was a role model to many people and certainly to us. This world was a better place as a result of our uncle and he has left a great legacy with his family. Love Jerry & Diane Nelson
