Dorothy Stone

October 5th, 2018

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through his servant Dorothy Stone.

Dorothy Stone, late of Regina, SK was given life by her creator and was born on May 27, 1926 in Overstone, MB; the child of Ferdinand and Florentina Hartig. She was raised throughout her early years on the family farm near Tolstoi, MB.
She later moved to Winnipeg where she met her future husband Glen. They were married on September 14, 1949 in Moose Jaw, SK and later moved to Regina to work and raise their family.

Dorothy and Glen were blessed with the gift of four sons. She was predeceased by her husband Glen and granddaughter Yvonne and 16 of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister Tilley; four sons Ron (Lorraine), Bob (Colleen), Dennis (Joan), and Ken (Sonja); 9 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

God also blessed Dorothy’s life with many special people in her vocations at home, church, work, and in the community. God blessed Dorothy with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the Resurrection of the Dead. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, for our Sister Dorothy.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2015 - 4th Avenue North, Regina, SK. Private family interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
