Dale Daniel Dorsch
July 18th, 2019
Dale Daniel Dorsch passed away peacefully with family at his side on July 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61 years. Dale fought his battle with grace and strength, supported by family and friends.
Dale was born in Weyburn, SK and grew up on the family farm, the youngest of 8. Dale worked proudly for 31 years until his retirement from Molson Breweries. He spent his entire career there, across cities and provinces, from the bottle shop to the brewhouse. Never one to stay idle, Dale continued to work after retirement for Home Depot.
A true Roughrider football fan, Dale always made time to watch the Rider games. In his younger years, Dale loved to play ball, curl, and fish, and he was always up for a good time. Dale was a joker, and he loved nothing more than to play silly pranks and tell lots, and lots, of jokes. An avid card player, he was always up for a game of Hand and Foot and in his last year, he enjoyed countless hours doing intricate puzzles. He could always be recognized by his trademark black hat, which he wore everywhere. But above all else, he loved his family fiercely and was so proud of his grand kids.
He leaves to mourn his best friend and beloved wife Linda (nee Schmidt) of Regina; daughter Lindsay (Fred) West of Regina; daughter Crystal (Dan) Irvine of Regina; his much-loved grandchildren Wyatt, Emersen, Ivy and Jack; as well as numerous family and friends.
Dale was predeceased by his parents John Henry and Mary Dorsch; brother Hank Dorsch and sister Blanche Musschoot.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 935 McCarthy Blvd North, Regina, SK.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Regina Pasqua Hospital.
“Love the people God gives you, cause one day you’ll want them back.”
Messages:
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Dale’s passing. I went to school with Dale and have many fond memories from those days, such as trips to Roughrider games in a small black 1962 Studebaker Lark. There were five of us squeezed into that car, all playing for the Weyburn Eagles football team. After one game, Dale offered to direct us to Ron Lancaster’s place, as he knew where he lived! When we got there, we actually had a chance to meet with Mr. Lancaster and chat about the game! Imagine that! Dale gave us that happy memory and many others. My condolences. So sorry for your loss.
Our heartfelt sympathies to Dale's family. My brother, Mike, and I went to school with Dale. And he was at many of Dale's birthday parties. It was a great way to celebrate Hallowe'en. Dale will be missed by all who knew loved him.
I worked with Dale at Home Depot for several years. He was always friendly and helpful whether to us co-workers or to customers. I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest easy, Dale. My sincerest sympathies to his family and friends.....

Dale was one of my best friends. I have so many great memories of all the fun times we had together. I will miss his easygoing manner and his sense of humor. Rest in peace buddy.
My sincerest sympathy to the Dorsch family. Dale & I were in the same grade and graduated together, with the help of his late, older brother, Hank, whom we chose as the guest speaker at our ceremony. I remember Dale, as kind & funny; he was always a friend to me. God Bless.
