Lee was a single mother and put herself through university, getting her degree in Education. Lee followed in her mother’s footsteps being very involved in the Metis community as well as being an active member on many boards throughout her life. Lee had a love of travelling and visited Ireland, Mexico, the East Coast of Canada and a great number of other places throughout Canada and the United States, joining an RV group called the “Lone Rangers” with her friends from Alberta.
Lee was the matriarch of the family and loved to spend time with them at any chance she got. She loved going to bingo with her sisters, playing cards and planning multiple family and community events. Lee became a grannie for the first time in 1994 and took great pride in being referred to as “Grannie” not only to her grandchildren but also to her great-nieces and great-nephews.
Lee wants her siblings to know how much she truly loved them and for them to never forget how important they were to her. Lee would like to send a huge Thank You to her nieces Samantha, Jordyn and Blaire for helping her tend to her home when she was no longer able to do this.
Mom wanted to spend her final days at home surrounded by her family. This would not have been possible without the help of her baby sister Sandy and for that we cannot thank you enough.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Marcelin Community Hall, Marcelin, Saskatchewan. Interment in Marcelin Cemetery. Ah the memories. For the good times, the bad. And everything in between. We had each other. May your journey to the spirit world be in love and peace.
My love & thoughts to the family. Lee was more than a friend & a roommate to me, she was an adopted big sister. Like all big sisters she gave me advice, loved & accepted me for me & kept Ruth & I in line - although that was rarely needed! Loved my time spent with you Lee & the entire family. RIP.
To all of Lee’s family, my sincere condolences for your loss. She was always smiling, respectful and kind. God bless you all.

I will miss playing scrabble with her on the nights we had sleep overs at my place. The fact that she let me win once was so sweet. She loved us all. Love Tania See you down the road
It’s sad to say farewell to someone as kind as Lee. She truly was the matriarch of the family. I loved the beautiful poems, prayers and family stories that she would write and recite at various family events. She was a great family historian. My condolences to all of Lee's family, she will be greatly missed. Cherish the memories!
Lee was such a trusted friend. She was a conscientious teacher but most of all she was a team player. Lee loved her family and was so devoted as a mother, Grannie, sister and true friend. The world is a darker place without Lee's Light in it.
Sending love and hugs to all of her family members. She was an amazing person and will not be forgotten because of all the wonderful memories you shared.
I have sooo many stories that I will never forget that make me laugh to this day. I also have so many memories of how you helped raise me because you thought of me as one of your own. My only regret is that I didn’t get the chance to see you before your journey to the creator. You will always hold a spot in my heart for the rest of my days…nothing but love and respect for you my second mom. So much love and respect. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just learned of Lee's passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know Lee when I taught her son Jason in elementary school and again through her involvement in SUNTEP and the Metis community. She is missed. My deepest condolences to her loved ones.
