Michael Donald Smith

July 17th, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Michael Donald Smith on July 17, 2021. His smile and gentle soul will be missed by many.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Phil and Cora Petrucha; his grandmothers Bonnie Yandeau and Vivian Smith; and his uncle Michael Petrucha. Michael is survived by his best friend, soulmate and wife Courtney Smith and his cherished children Emma, Maxwell, Abbigaile, and Evalynne; parents Teresa (Guy) Yandeau and Larry (Gail) Smith; mother-in law Katie (Rick) Pearce; father-in-law Terry Sinnett; siblings Kristal (Joey), Breanna (Curtis), Jenna (Dallas); sister-in-law Laura (JR); as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and of course, his four-legged pals Bentley and Gigi.

Michael will be remembered for many great things; in particular his kindness and compassion for others, his love of animals, his witty and twisted sense of humor that always had people laughing. Michael loved his work and was a hard-working man who took pride in everything he did. If it wasn’t just right or the way he wanted it, it had to be redone. Although this drove his wife nuts, it’s what made him excel at his job and any projects he took on. Michael loved the outdoors, fishing and being with his family more than anything else. He was the fun uncle and loving father and caring husband who looked forward to weekends, camping with his family, building forts to watch movies and playing video games. In his 35 years on earth, he has touched so many hearts and created many everlasting memories that we will forever remember and cherish.

We will be holding a Private Family Gathering to Celebrate Michael’s Life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society.
