Jonathan Michael Evans
July 26th, 2022
On July 26, 2022, we said good-bye to our son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Jonathan passed quietly in the early morning hours with his Mom and Dad (Gayle and Bob) beside him.
He will be celebrated by his family including his parents, his sister Amanda (Morgan), brothers Sean and James and his group of close buddies. He will be greatly missed by his nephew Arie, niece Mia, and furry companion Marra.
Jonathan was a gentle soul, always considerate of others and willing to help out when needed. He prized time with his family and friends, and was always ready for a challenge, be it a game of crib, a down and dirty relay race for charity, or being schooled by his nephew in the art of Minecraft. He had a passion for gaming, both board games and video games. He also had an adventurous side, which led him to enjoy exploring activities like bungee drops, parasailing, and aerial adventures.
Jonathan spent most of his early childhood in Pense, SK before moving to Regina, SK where he attended Douglas Park School and graduated from Balfour Collegiate in 1992. He went on to a career in shipping and warehousing, working most recently for Day & Ross.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Services, Dr. Souied and the team at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, and his family physician, Dr. Curtis, for their care and compassion during Jonathan’s treatment.
There will be a Celebration of his Life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK (masking is encouraged but not required). If you choose, donations can be made in honour of Jonathan to the Saskatchewan Cancer Foundation or a cause of your choice. But most importantly, hug someone you love or show a kindness to someone in need.

My thoughts and prayers
So sorry for your loss. He was taken way to young. Cry you must but then remember all the good times. ❤️
So sorry to see the untimely passing of John. I went to Douglas Park with Johnny and although we lost touch after elementary school, I don't have to reach far in my memories to find him in the group of carefree kids that we all were back then. Jackie McIlwrick
