Olaf Raaen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olaf Raaen on February 28, 2022 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Ruth; daughter Maureen (Rocky) Purves and their two sons Cole (Jodi) and their 2 daughters Lucy and Hazel and Derek (Amanda) and their 3 children Bennett, Abigail and Cohen; son Trevor Raaen and his 2 sons Mason and Morgan. Also left to mourn are his granddaughter Jocelyn Whitrow and her 2 sons Tristan and Ashton; and grandson Garrett Nimegeers. Olaf was predeceased by his daughter Jackie Nimegeers and son-in-law Duane Nimegeers; siblings Harvey, Norman, Conrad, Agnes and Lil.
Olaf spent his early years driving ambulance in Winnipeg, MB where he met his wife. They moved to Saskatchewan in 1965 and farmed in Hallonquist, Outlook and then Riceton. They retired to Balgonie in 2005. They spent many wonderful years enjoying retirement at Sherwood Forest.
Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

Ruth & family, my sincere sympathy in the passing of Olie. He was such a nice man & I enjoyed all my dealings with him & you. You had become friends. Memories now are to cherish & he will always be with you in spirit. Helen Hastings
