Harold Hodel

December 17th, 2024

We are saddened to announce the passing of Harold Hodel of Grand Coulee, Saskatchewan this past Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He joins his wife Olga of 49 years, his mother and father, two brothers as well as two sisters. He leaves behind his two daughters Tamara Hodel-Shears, Natasha Hodel (Christian Leroux), granddaughter Sasha Shears, and his four sisters.

Harold was stubborn, generous and marched to the beat of his own drum. He grew up on a farm and was incredibly hardworking as a heavy-duty mechanic and welder. He liked to putter in his garage on his time off and savored a good meal out. Harold would always run into someone he knew wherever he went who he enjoyed bantering with.

To honour Harold's life a Come & Go gathering will take place Monday, December 23, 2024 at Western Pizza (2430 9th Ave N, Regina, across from the Northgate Mall) between 2:00 – 5:00 PM.

Flowers gratefully declined, for those so wishing please instead make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Messages:

Sorry for your loss, so sad.

Harold was so proud of his girls. He always had a story or two about what they were doing. He was a one of a kind character, with a grin on his face most of the time. He always found humour in everyday happenings. He will be missed.

Sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. Sending hugs to all of your families. ❤️

We were saddened to learn of Harold’s passing. Harold worked for our company for over 9 years. He was very knowledgeable, talented and hard working. He never backed down from a challenge and was a good teacher to those that had less experience. He loved to tell stories and have friendly banter during coffee breaks and when parts sales people would stop by. Harold was well known and respected in the Saskatchewan heavy construction industry and will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences go out to his family.

I am saddened at the news of his passing yet happy to have known him. He was always there for advice and assistance when I needed it. I would run into every now and again in different places and he always had time for the chat. I am proud to have known him, Olga and all of you. My condolences.

My condolences to you both Tamara and Natasha. I am deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your father, my uncle Harold. I hope you find comfort in the memories you have of him and the love that surrounds you. If there is anything we can do to support you, please let us know. Lana, Amelia and Brock Wilde

Sending loving thoughts and prayers and our deepest condolences. With love from - The Gazso’s ❤️
